from 1 September 2018 to 15 May 2019. The project was financed by the U.S. Embassy in BiH. „Teens for sustainable peace“ project brought together 50 teenagers from local communities Glogova and Bjelovac from Bratunac municipality and they attended English language course, non-violent communication trainings as well as lectures of religious education which focused on similarities between Islam, Christianity and other monotheistic religions.
Project goals and objectives: Overcoming prejudices between teenagers from these two local communities who had not had much contact after the war, increasing tolerance and mutual understanding among project participants but also among them and their peers as well as empowerment of participants for further education and career through English language course.
and it was implemented from 1 September 2018 to 15 January 2019. The project gathered 68 children from 5 to 16 years old who attended drama workshops and prepared 5 plays in English. The play reflected American culture, history and traditions. The plays were performed in Zvornik, Srebrenica and Bratunac at the end of December and had charitable cause. 57 Christmas boxes were provided for children from socially disadvantaged families from Bratunac and Srebrenica as well as for medical treatment for a young boy from Zvornik.
Project goals and objectives: Motivate children to learn foreign languages, promotion of American culture and history, increasing the awareness of parents about investing into foreign language learning.
project starts from 1 September 2019 and it will be implemented for the next 6 months. 30 unemployed people from 18 to 30 years old will take part in the project activities like Business English course, digital literacy course and trainings on entrepreneurship skills and youth entrepreneurship.
Project goals and objectives: Motivate 30 young people to start their own business by teaching them about basis of entrepreneurship empower them for job seeking through Business English and digital literacy course as well as develop entrepreneurship skills which will be useful for their future career.
The project is being implemented from September to December 2019 and it will include 60 children from 6 to 15 years old who will attend Rock culture workshops and learn about rock culture simultaneously preparing a play with elements of rock music and English language.
Project goals and objectives: Engage 60 children from 6 to 15 years old in cultural and social life of Bratunac through workshops and preparing of the play with elements of rock music and English language, motivate them for further engagement in cultural life of the municipality as well as for foreign language leraning.
